Do you ever get tired of being surrounded by ignorant fans at sporting events? I do. I went to a college baseball game last night and they were there. They usually are. Why do the fans that aren't directly behind the plate seem to think they can see the pitches better than the umpire? They scream "that was a ballllllllll", but can they really see the curve ball that started on the outside of the plate move in over the plate for a strike? Even worse is when the fans that are behind the plate still argue balls and strikes when it's obvious the umpire has made the correct call. I want them to just sit down and be quiet.
If you don't know the rules, don't act like you do because it just makes you look ignorant. If a player from the other team makes a mistake, don't laugh at him or her obnoxiously. Again, it just makes you look foolish and you should be embarrassed by the way you're acting. And if you're not, your family or whoever came with probably is. If no one came with you, that's probably why.
Sometimes umpires or officials make mistakes. You don't have to yell at them. How would you like someone yelling at you while you were working?
A man of knowledge uses words with restraint, and a man of understanding is even-tempered. Proverbs 17:27 NIV
